JCRC-NY welcomes President Donald J. Trump's decision to have the United States governemnt recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital and to relocate the American embassy there.

On December 4th, 150 guests attended JCRC-NY's second annual Winter Benefit Reception at the Jewish Museum and honored long-time Board Member Zoya Raynes and her husband Robert Friedman, two people who are extraordinarily dedicated to the Jewish community, the City of New York and the State of Israel.

JCRC-NY condemned the New School's panel on anti-Semitism, which included individuals who perpetuate rather than fight anti-Semitism.  Our professional staff is also meeting with New School President David Van Zandt later this month to address this appalling issue.

Saluting JCRC-NY's Staff:  Congratulations to Michael S. Miller, David M. Pollock and Bob Kaplan!

JCRC-NY is fortunate to have a first-rate, dedicated professional staff.  Staff members work diligently and often anonymously behind the scenes, but it's gratifying when the community recognizes individuals for their hard work.

Three of JCRC-NY senior staff members received special honors in the past two months:

Michael S. Miller, JCRC-NY Executive Vice President and CEO, was inducted into the Bronx Jewish Hall of Fame

David M. Pollock, JCRC-NY Associate Executive Director and Director, Public Policy and Jewish Security, was named by New York Nonprofit Media as one of its 50 over 50 honorees,  

Bob Kaplan, Director of The Center for Community Leadership at JCRC-NY, was honored by NYC Comptroller Scott Stringer at his Jewish Heritage & Culture Celebration

Kosher Taste of Long Island 

At Kosher Taste of Long Island,
more than 300 guests supported JCRC-LI's efforts to strengthen community relations on Long Island.  Guests sampled Long Island's best Kosher food, wine and beer and won valuable auction prizes.

Congratulations to JCRC-LI Exec. Dir. Mindy Perlmutter and her team for the great success of this tasty event.
