Delicious lunch boxes, brought to you by VegWeb!
Recipe Spotlight on Back to School Lunches!
This newsletter is for the kids and the kids at heart. Packing lunch can be a blessing or a curse. Whether it's at school or in an office, navigating the choices in a cafeteria can give even the most studious amongst us a headache. For many students, heading back to the lunchroom means heading away from healthier foods. Studies show that students who eat lunches packed with nutritious foods perform better in class. It's hard to pack a fresh lunch every day for school (shoot, it's hard to pack a fresh lunch every day for work! And I'm full grown!) but if you can make the time, you'll be greatly rewarded. VegWeb has plenty of recipes to pack a vegan lunch box, whether it be for the first day of school or another day at the office. We all deserve to eat exciting, delicious, healthy food every day, no matter what our age! Now let's get started – (VegWeb) class is in session!

Check out our new Monday Night Chats! Every Monday from 6–7pm PST, head to the chat room for discussions ranging from vegetarian travel to cooking tips. Next Monday (September 14) we'll be talking vegan health! From the best cruelty-free face washes to where to find vegan running shoes, we'll talk about everything vegans need to take care of their bodies and minds. Bring your questions, tips, techniques, and more to the VegWeb Chat Room.To Buy or Not to Buy... That is the question when it comes to secondhand goods that aren't vegan. Is it better to buy new clothes, shoes, and belts and contribute to the wastefulness of consumption, or should you hang on to your pre-gan stuff but run the risk of being viewed as a hypocrite? There is much to discuss and debate in the Buying Secondhand Non-Vegan Products Thread.
Tofu is the most delicious crap I've ever tasted! Kids say the darndest things! And when they're vegan kids, it gets even better. Come share the hilarious and adorable things your vegan cutie says or just pop in for a good laugh at Cute Things Vegan Kids Say.

Cooking with Webmistress Laura!
Let's face it, vegan sandwiches can be boring. Peanut butter and jelly gets old. There are only so many portobello mushroom sandwiches a person can consume, and only so many hummus wraps we can endure. With school starting up, you want the kids in the lunchroom to look enviously upon your child's packed vegan lunch and wish they were eating it, too. You need to send your child to school with a hot commodity, or at least something that will hold value in the world of cafeteria bartering. This super-simple, transformative sandwich spread recipe is just that. You can put it on any sandwich and your kid (or your kid's friends! or your significant other! or you!) will be calling out for more. It works on everything from eggless salad to quick and easy tempeh sandwiches. If you want, you can also use it as a dip for fresh veggies or roasted potatoes. Use it as a mayo replacement in potato salad recipes or slather it on your face for a quick and easy clarifying mask. Okay, not that last one because that's just gross.
What You Need:
2 cups vegan mayonnaise (I use Vegenaise or Wildwood Garlic Aioli)What You Do:
1. Place all ingredients in a food processor. Blend for 2 minutes. Serve on everything forever.
