Bring on the vegan pancakes!
Recipe Spotlight on Summer Brunch
What is the meaning of life? Is there life on other planets? Why is brunch the best meal? These are questions we may never know the answers to. Okay, I'll take a guess on the brunch one. It's something that usually happens on weekends (yay!), after having slept in (yay!) and involves combining the best of the best from both breakfast and lunch (yay!). It's really just a genius meal and I want to meet the person who invented brunch and have their adorable, delicious babies. That sounded wrong. I can't help it. Brunch does crazy things to me!

Cooking with Webmistress Laura: Start a Vegan Brunch Club!
Let's face it. Often the vegan options at restaurants are less than inspiring. A bowl of mushy fruit and dry oatmeal again? I'll pass! But why not pass with some panache and start a Vegan Brunch Club? I belong to a club in San Francisco called the "Vegan Brunch Cartel," and we meet one Sunday a month to share vegan food and play games, gossip, and drink plentiful amounts of coffee (and sometimes if we're feeling sassy, mimosas!). All you need is a group of vegans (and vegan friendly folk) with a desire to make and eat yummy vegan food. The fabulous recipes on VegWeb will take care of the rest! The following steps will get you from the lonely side of hash browns to bonafide vegan feast faster than you can say, "Pumpkin pecan waffles with a side of Earth Balance!"
How to Organize a Vegan Brunch Club (VBC)
1) Find or start a group. Advertise in the events section of VegWeb, post on Craigslist, and just start spreading the word. You'll find it's fairly easy to get a good group of vegan food lovers together.Superstar VegWebber!
