Changing the Present connects you with more than 1,500 meaningful charitable gifts that change the world. Browse by cause or nonprofit to find the perfect gift for friends or for your own charitable giving.

The GlobalGiving Gift Card (at right) is perfect for that hard-to-shop-for person. Make a donation in their name to over 450 charities on the GlobalGiving site. The card is 100% tax-deductible and 100% guaranteed.

Unicef's Inspired Gifts is an innovative program that allows you to purchase real, lifesaving products to be shipped to over 150 countries and territories around the world.

Finally, Network for Good's Good Cards can be sent to friends and family online or via U.S. mail. The cards can be redeemed as donations to over one million charities on Network for Good's website.

Dell and Goodwill Launch Free Computer Recycling Service – RECONNECT

ImageDell and Goodwill Industries have just launched Reconnect, a drop-off program to recycle unwanted computers. Reconnect offers free recycling for ANY brand of computer equipment in ANY condition for Washington, D.C. metro area residents, including Maryland and Virginia.

Computer donors are responsible for removing data from hard drives and other storage media before donating to Goodwill. Donors can also request a Goodwill receipt at time of donation.

The program goals are to divert over 2.7 million pounds of used computers and computer equipment from area landfills over the next year; and provide consumer education on the importance of environmentally-responsible computer disposal.

Congratulations to our friends and clients of Goodwill DC for this terrific and much needed program.

All computer equipment can be brought to one of the following locations:
