Currently, TLC members are from AARP, Accenture, AES, Agilex, American Red Cross, American Institutes for Research, AOL, Booz & Company, Capital Group Companies, Inc., Capital One, Cisco, Corporate Executive Board, CSC, Deloitte, Discovery Communications, Government of District of Columbia, Microsoft, Oracle Corporation, Red Hat, Inc., The Washington Post Company, and XO Communications.

The goals of the TLC are to enhance NPower’s sustainability, sponsor and fundraise for NPower’s Annual Event, skills-based volunteerism, and NPower board development. Tech Impact: Outsourcing Technology to a Trusted Partner

ImageWe are delighted to work with some of our region’s most influential nonprofits. Here are two Tech Impact stories that examine the pioneering work we are doing with our clients.

This case study examines how NPower keeps Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless staff and volunteers connected so they can provide better representation for their clients.

This Tech Impact story shows how NPower helps the Community of Hope to provide health and dental care, housing, and education programs for the underserved.

2009 Technology Innovation Awards

ImageA special thanks to Accenture for signing on as our Presenting Sponsor for the fifth year in a row! Two winning local nonprofits will each receive a consulting and software package valued up to $35,000! Also, a special thanks to our panel of judges who will be meeting in the fall to determine the finalists and vote on the winners. Speaking of the Technology Innovation Award winners, here’s what our past winners had to say!

“It was a great honor to receive the NPower Greater DC Region 2008 Technology Innovation Award. Technology is a fundamental part of what we do at Peace X Peace: multiplying the power of women by the power of leading-edge communications technology to promote women’s solutions for peace. This prestigious award testifies to our success in connecting women across many different cultures for intercultural dialogue and peace action. Thank you for this recognition!”

Patricia T. Morris, Ph.D.

“We are all extremely proud to have received NPower’s Technology Innovation Award. It recognized the years of hard work it took to create our global data warehouse and acknowledged our achievements in leading the fight against pediatric AIDS. It meant a lot to everyone who was involved in the project – the Foundation got a big morale boost with our win. This honor is a reflection on us all and it was MUCH appreciated!”

Mark Reilley
Director, IT
Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation

“RAINN was awarded the 2007 Technology Innovation Award from NPower for our use of cutting-edge technology to help victims of sexual violence online. Thanks to this prestigious recognition by NPower and its partners, and the helpful prizes that came with it, RAINN was able to expand the services we offer through the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline, providing even more victims with live anonymous help online. We commend NPower for its continued dedication to helping nonprofits achieve greater impact in our community.”
