 Dear Museum Friend,

It's almost too exciting - Clifford the Big Red Dog and Goblin Jamboree in the same month! There's only three more days until our new blockbuster, Adventures with Clifford The Big Red Dog, opens this Saturday, October 6. Then join us for Goblin Jamboree on the weekend of October 20 & 21, when thousands of kids in costume will be riding ponies, attending Witches' School, and petting baby pigs at the Museum.

 Clifford arrives Saturday

Adventures with Clifford The Big Red Dog
Opens October 6

Board the Birdwell Island ferry and journey to the world of Clifford™, America’s beloved big red dog with a heart to match. See Emily Elizabeth™ and many of the residents of Birdwell Island. Our Member Breakfast is completely sold out, but there will be plenty of other chances to meet Clifford in October. Clifford will be in costume at the Museum on October 7, 13, and 27 from 10 a.m. to noon. And introduce your children to some great helper dogs:

PAWS Assistance Dogs - Sunday, October 7, 12:30 p.m.
Guide Dogs for the Blind Puppy Club - Saturday, October 13, 11 a.m.

 Membership News

Are you planning to visit relatives this winter? Click here to view an interactive map of all the great Museums across the country that are free with a Museum Passport membership ($120). Please note: Our membership and admission rates are increasing for the first time since 2004, to help keep pace with costs. On October 1, annual membership rates increased by $10. For non-members, admission prices are now $10 for Adults and $8 for Children & Seniors. Children and members under 1 are free. A membership pays for itself in just three visits for a family of four!

 Shiny New Museum

We're excited to welcome you back to a newly improved Museum.  We used our closed week time well - check out these updates:

  • Cleaner, less dusty gravel in Lookout Cove
  • New paint on various buildings, inside & out 
  • Sparkling clean aquariums
  • New roofs on two whole buildings
  • Carpet replacements
  • Loft Birthday Room remodelled in warm yellow
  • Fragrant new woodchips
  • Deep cleaning everywhere!

Please note: The National Park Service is still working on improvements to the parking lots near the Museum. New lots should open in the near future. Check out the signs near the lots for complete details on the NPS plans for Fort Baker restoration.
