Camps are not available the week of June 30 − July 4.

Don't miss out on our fantastic summer camps!  This year we have made many more spots available especially for our youngest campers, children over 4 who have not yet been to Kindergarten.  If your pre-K child loves art, building, insects, boats or just has a passion for adventure check out our signature camps.

Do you have a picture you have taken at the Museum?  Our amazing scenery plus your cute and happy children make for truly exquisite photographs! Submit an original, non-professional photo of your children at the Museum via email to jherrera(at)badm.org.

Please include: child(ren)’s name, age, parent(s)’ name, address, phone & email.

Entries must be received by April 25, 2008 at midnight.
Up to three (3) photos may be submitted by each entrant. Images should be in jpg format, 72dpi or higher or 2 MB or smaller.

Q. I worry that my kids don’t have enough outdoor time.  How do I detach them from the television and get them to go outside?

A. For many reasons – parental stress, community violence, societal fear -- too many children spend most of their after school hours indoors watching TV or playing video games.  By living in this “virtual world,” they end up  missing out on the gifts of exploring the real world around them. In order for kids to learn about the wonders of nature and the needs of our planet, they must spend time outdoors. Read Nurse Rona's advice here.
