Learning is Child's Play: Celebrating the Role of Creativity in Learning The Ritz-Carlton in San Francisco helped us to welcome close to 500 attendees which raised over $150,000 for the Museum's educational exhibitions and programs. Thanks to everyone who came out to this year's Discovery Forum. Speaker Sir Ken Robinson enthralled audiences with his informative yet witty lecture on the learning process and the effectiveness and importance of creative methods of educating children. One attendee posted on her blog..."Here was this genius educator reminding us of our very raison d'etre, and inspiring hundreds of people (the crowd was at least 95% women!) to think divergently, creatively, and effectively, about our future, and the role of education in that future." Read the rest of her thoughts here. |
