That's right, after a long hot summer of private beta testing and lots of your itineraries, the TripIt Beta is now available to the rest of the world at http://www.tripit.com/. Now, anyone can forward their travel confirmation plans to plans@tripit.com to get started, and you can add all your friends to your TripIt network too.

We've listened very hard to all your suggestions and have improved TripIt in several ways. First is Calendar Integration. If you use Google Calendar, Outlook 2007 or any calendar that supports the iCalendar standard, you can now automatically sync your personal calendar with your TripIt travel plans. It takes just a minute to set-up and is very cool. Plus you can also sync trips plans for your friends or colleagues on your personal calendar too.
Another top request was improving our Add Flight page to make it easier to enter flight information and even look-up your flight details based on the flight number. Although it's always easiest to just forward your travel confirmation emails to us, Add Flight/Hotel/Car gives you the option to add reservations you may not have in email.
We've also recently improved our Maps & Directions by upgrading to Google Maps. And TripIt now supports more than 70 Booking Sites. Since our last release we've added support for American Express Centurion, Avis Europe, Cathay Pacific, HotelDiscounts.com, Lufthansa, Radisson, Virgin America, Virgin Atlantic, and many others.
