We’re listening to all your great feedback, thanks! Here’s what's new at www.tripit.com since September…
Add Restaurants to your Itineraries
One of your top requests has been adding restaurants to your TripIt itineraries. We eat when we travel too, so we get it!
Now, you can click the new Add Restaurant option in your TripIt itinerary and enter your reservation details. And if you booked a reservation on OpenTable, then just forward that email confirmation to plans@tripit.com and we'll automatically add the details to your itinerary—just like we do for your air, hotel and car confirmations.
We're big OpenTable fans here in San Francisco, so we love this one!
Add Rail to your Itineraries
We’ve also received feedback from many of you who rely on trains for travel, particularly our users in the Northeastern U.S. and in Europe. So now, you can click the new Add Rail option in your TripIt itinerary and add a train reservation. You can also forward rail bookings (made on Amtrak, Via Rail Canada, Eurostar, and in the UK Great Northeastern Railway and The Trainline) to plans@tripit.com and we'll automatically add those rail bookings to your itinerary. If you use other train sites, please forward us those confirmation emails and we'll work to add them in the future.
TripIt Goes Mobile
We were one of a few startups invited to the Web 2.0 Summit conference last month to launch TripIt To Me, our new mobile option. TripIt To Me lets you get your trip information from anywhere you have access to email, including mobile devices. Just email a command to plans@tripit.com and we’ll retrieve the requested information from your itinerary. For example, email "get flight today" and TripIt will email back your current flight details. To get started, email "help" to plans@tripit.com and we'll send you a list of commands, or download our handy wallet card.
Better Maps & Directions
TripIt now "remembers" any address associated with your flight, hotel, car, restaurant or rail bookings. Now you can select any of these locations from a list in the Add Map/Directions options in your itinerary, saving you time and making maps and directions easier to add.
TripIt Is Faster
We’ve speeded up the online display of TripIt itineraries, especially for long itineraries with lots of details. We hope you enjoy the improvement the next time you view your itinerary.
Please keep sending your helpful suggestions to feedback@tripit.com
