 Onetest client reduces workcover claims by 71%...


Did you know that 90 per cent of workplace accidents are caused by human error; costing Australian businesses billions of dollars annually? 

Reducing workplace safety incidents at the recruitment stage was the focus of a talk I conducted at the Recruitment Services and Consulting Association (RSCA) Safety Forum last month. 

Vedior Asia Pacific, one of Australia's biggest specialist recruitment networks, implemented Onetest’s Work Safety Assessment and has now seen a reduction in workcover claims by 71% and lost time due to injuries of up to 40%.

 What employees really want...


Organisational surveys need to assess the key factors driving employee wellbeing, commitment, satisfaction and morale if they are to deliver real benefits for organisations.  Surveys that assess factors that are not important to employees or that provide no guidance to HR on what to change simply waste valuable time and resources.

On the other hand, well constructed surveys can identify those factors that make a real difference to employees, and that the organisation can address in order to enhance the working life of staff.

 Talent Management System launched!


In response to intensifying market demand, Onetest has launched an online Talent Management System to assist organisations in the development and retention of their employees.
 

The Onetest Talent Management System (TMS) is an online interface that integrates Onetest’s premium survey content and custom-built survey capability into a self-service tool.

The system allows users to implement and manipulate pre-developed and custom surveys in-house such as: engagement, exit interviews, performance appraisals and 360 degree leadership appraisals.

 Are you still gambling with recruitment?


It is no secret that recruitment is an expensive and time consuming process that in essence remains a gamble for both parties.

The candidate's objective is to present themselves as favourably as possible, putting their best foot forward and trying to conceal any personal limitations.  They are to appear as confident, skilled and flexible as possible, while working to gain the trust of the potential employer. That is, to convince the organisation that they are the most suitable candidate for the role.

Meanwhile the organisation’s aim is to try and sieve through the myriad of details regarding the candidate (application letter, resume details and references) and gain a realistic preview as to how they are likely to perform and impact on the business.  The interviewer is also simultaneously ensuring the organisation and the available role is presented in a positive light.

 Case Study: Medicare Australia...


Earlier this year, Medicare Australia began the task of planning out the recruitment strategy for its next graduate program.

A small graduate recruitment team was responsible for finding the “best-fit” graduates. With a large quantity of applications expected (due to the vast number of positions & increase in marketing budget) and strict government guidelines and timeframes to adhere to, Medicare Australia turned to Onetest for assistance.
