As usual, Melissa has filled the show with great new Christmas and Halloween designs along with fabulous florals, fruits, and designs for everyday. Lots from Mary Lake-Thompson and Debbie Mumm.

SATURDAY STITCH AND SHARE
Join us Saturday mornings to socialize with fellow stitchers!
Stop in anytime from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Stay a few minutes, a half hour or the whole two hours. Bring a UFO (unfinished object) to work on, a finished project for show and tell, or just yourself. No agenda, no reservations, no fee -- just fun!

Classes are very important at The Canvasback. We've put together a schedule for the fall that has a class to meet the needs of stitchers at every level. FIBER OF THE MONTH
 Our fiber of the month for October is our best-selling product: Silk and Ivory from Brown Paper Packages. This luxurious 50/50 blend of silk and Merino wool comes in 224 beautiful colors. Customers say it's like stitching with butter because it's so smooth and easy to pull through canvas! You use it "as is", so there's no worry about separating it into strands. Most stitchers find it works well on 13-18 mesh. For those who like a thinner thread, there's a sister version called Trio in all of the same colors. Trio can be divided into three strands for use on 18 mesh, or used as is on 10 mesh. Mention you saw this article in our newsletter, and you'll get 20% off Silk and Ivory or Trio this month!
Christmas Finishing Deadline
The finishing deadline for Christmas ornaments and stockings was October 1.The deadline for belts is November 1.Last minute stocking finishing is available up until December 1 with an added cost. Please call the shop (847-446-4244) for details.
