Back to School Supply Drive!
CASA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties would like to say Thank You to the many generous donors who have contributed school supplies to our CASA kids. With these donations, we have been able to help 53 kids get off to a great start at school this year!
We still have some school supply inventory remaining at the office: notebook paper, art/writing supplies, folders, composition notebooks, and more. If your CASA child is still in need of a few supplies, you can stop by our office from 9:00 - 4:00 this week.
First come, first served.
Thank You to Our Office Volunteers!
A special shout out to our office volunteers who have helped cover the front desk during July and August. Thank you to Angela Carter, Angie Leondedis, Anne Keil, Debbie Siler, Laurie Cassity, and Mary Evans.
We appreciate your time and assistance! Each of you have been a great help!
Marsha Affolter has been a CASA volunteer for 8 1/2 years and has advocated for 16 children. This time and experience has been very beneficial to Marsha's current case. A good understanding of the child welfare system and how all the various components interact with the judicial system has been crucial. Marsha is currently advocating for two little girls who have recently been reintegrated back with their young mother. Marsha's work is not done just yet. Her continued reports to the court are imperative as the professionals assess how the girls are doing as they assimilate back into their mother's care
In addition to being a CASA volunteer for her own cases, Marsha has also served as a Peer Coordinator; providing support and guidance to other CASA volunteers. Recently, Marsha has become a regular around the CASA office as she provides much needed assistance with new case research.
Thank you Marsha, for your many years of service with CASA! Your strong advocacy of children, support to fellow CASA volunteers, and help in the CASA office is so appreciated. You are a valuable member of our CASA family!

Coffee, Conversation and Camaraderie
Join us monthly for an opportunity to talk with other volunteers.
