Holiday Party Fun!
The 3rd Annual Dec2011-Reindeer DogHoliday Party for CASA Kids was held on Sunday, December 11 at the Shiloh Community Church.

A total of 130 guests –
75 children and 55 adults – were treated to an array of games, face painting, holiday crafts, and refreshments.  Children also selected gifts from the “store” to give to relatives and friends.

Santa and Mrs. Claus visited with the children again and this year brought along “Rudolph” the therapy dog.  Many thanks to the more than 40 volunteers who helped make the party a success!  A special thank you to Pastor Marion Ray and Shiloh Community Church for once again allowing CASA to host the party at their church.

Add a Happy Ending to Your Year

Each year, CASNov2011-Annual-Campaign-Image_web-uA of Johnson & Wyandotte Counties works to bring safe, permanent homes to hundreds of abused and neglected children. By matching volunteer advocates to these kids, each child's voice is heard and their best interests represented.

This is hope and happiness.
Delivered by CASA advocates.
Provided by you.

Help provide safe, loving homes with your donation to CASA’s annual campaign today. You may give online or send your contribution by mail. Gifts should be postmarked by Dec. 31, 2011.

Thank You to Santa's Helpers

Dec2011-SantHelp1TDec2011-SantHelp2hanks to the many Santa’s Helpers who participated in our Adopt a CASA Child program.

Some of you chose to shop for gifts requested by our “adopted” CASA children while others gave a donation that allowed
other people to purchase their gifts. Because of your generosity,
more than 170 children enjoyed a special holiday season.

For CASA Volunteers

A New Year, A New Schedule!
We are revamping out Coffee Shop Calendar in 2012. We are combining all CASAs together for 2 great meetings during the month.

Do you need to talk through a situation? Do you need a shoulder to lean on? Join us monthly for two great opportunities to talk with other volunteers and to get their recommendations on tough case issues. It is also a great time to learn from the experiences of other advocates. It is a safe place where you can talk, vent, discuss and get feedback on whatever you are facing.

This is also a great opportunity to reconnect with another CASA you met in training. Give them a call or send them a text and come together.

We offer both daytime and evening meeting opportunities each month. All current CASAs are welcome to attend either meeting.

For ALL CASAs, there are meetings on:

  • Monday, January 9 from 5:30-7pm
  • Wednesday, January 25 from 9:30-11am
 ***Please join us!***
