Morrison Artists Series:
Time for Three

Dec. 14 @3pm

Always Free, Always Edgy — The string players of Time for Three mash up their classical virtuosity with bluegrass, Hungarian gypsy, rock, jazz and country-western standards plus their own compositions. They are just as comfortable offering their own arrangements of shorter classical works and popular hits — whether Brahms or the Beatles. Because you asked, Time for Three returns SF State’s Morrison Artists Series with the same zest and power that wowed you two years ago. McKenna Theatre, Creative Arts Building.

BECA alum sees dead people

van_Praagh_JamesJames Van Praagh studied media at SF State but has always been a medium himself. The best-selling author began to discover his psychic abilities at age 8, serving as the inspiration for the main character in the movie “The Sixth Sense.”

Van Praagh describes himself as a “survival evidence medium.” He claims to be able to bridge the gap between the living and dead, by providing evidence of the afterlife through detailed messages. Called “spectacular” by the Los Angeles Times, Van Praagh has displayed his skills on television’s top talk shows and is an executive producer of CBS’ “The Ghost Whisperer.”

Sharing his abilities helps bring closure to those in grief. “When a bright smile overcomes tears, it becomes a smile that can light up the world!”
