* Happy HalloGREEN! *

From us to you,

may your Halloween be

safe,

sustainable,

&

FUN!

Thank you for your incredible support, inspired ideas and passion for people & planet!

With your invaluable help, Green Halloween® has grown from a one-town program (Seattle) to a cross-country phenomenon; and in just four Halloweens!

This year, over 25 states officially participated in Green Halloween. This includes events in 50+ zoos and aquariums at Whole Foods Markets, public parks and more.

We also launched the first-ever National Costume Swap Day, which - in two short weeks, involved 75+ swaps in the U.S. and Canada and a feature on Good Morning America! Looks like next year, we'll need to re-brand as International Costume Swap Day!

So whether your Halloween included (or will include) a costume swap, made your own face paints, gave away healthy treat alternatives, carried a reusable goody bag, picked local pumpkins, lit your jack-o-lanterns with beeswax, decorated your doorway with LED lights, or composted your pumpkin - we sincerely appreciate your participation!

We look forward to hearing all about your Halloween celebrations and to seeing your photos and videos, too.

Here's to happy, healthy Halloweens for years to come!

About Green Halloween

Green Halloween® is a non-profit, community initiative to create healthier and more sustainable holidays, starting with Halloween. Green Halloween began in the Seattle area in 2007, and in 2008 went nationwide, thanks to wide-spread media exposure, word-of-mouth marketing and online buzz, as well as the support and enthusiasm of schools, families and businesses all over the country.

Funded by sponsorship and fueled by volunteers, Green Halloween is a national program of EcoMom® Alliance, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, in partnership with The Green Year®, LLC.

missed something

Are we missing something?

Did we leave something out?

Make errors in our newsletter?

Forget to include something oh-so-important?

We'd love to know.

So don't be shy- tell us what we missed.

After all, it takes a village to raise an initiative.

And we appreciate your support!
