ENVIRON Principal Dr. Douglas Daugherty
has worked in the Bay Area for more than 15 years and has a longstanding relationship with the BPC. Doug worked with the BPC in the effort to develop a Bay Area Seaport emissions inventory for water and shore-based equipment and vehicles at the Ports of San Francisco, Redwood City, Richmond and Benicia. In his new role as Managing Principal of ENVIRON’s Northern California operations, he would like to welcome two new Principals to ENVIRON’s maritime-services team—Dr. David Moore and Scott D. Warner. Scott D. Warner
has worked as a consulting hydrogeologist and environmental remediation specialist since 1987 and is a California Professional Geologist, Certified Hydrogeologist and Certified Engineering Geologist. Scott is a leading national and international expert in sustainable and passive groundwater remediation methods. He has worked on projects throughout the US and in Europe and South America, and has provided litigation and expert witness services in the areas of hydrogeology and environmental remediation.
Scott has been active with the Bay Planning Coalition for more than 10 years and currently serves as the BPC President. He has been a director with the organization for several years and was the 2011 Outstanding Member of the Year. Scott’s interest lies in pursuing BPC’s mission to promote a strong mutual and balanced existence between the built and natural environmental assets of the bay and environs, particularly within the context of variability and changes to hydrologic, climatic and economic conditions. Dr. David Moore
has supported the USACE San Francisco District, the Ports of Richmond, San Francisco, Oakland and Redwood City, and various other Bay Area private and municipal clients on dredging and dredged material management issues for over 25 years. His expertise in ecotoxicology, ecological risk assessment and management of sediment and water resources is recognized in the scientific and regulatory communities worldwide. David is currently serving on a technical advisory group examining confounding factors potentially affecting sediment toxicity studies in San Francisco Bay and has provided recent support to the LTMS as a private consultant developing 3-D images of suspended sediment plumes associated with different dredging technologies.
