Why bolt your safe to the floor?

Recently, there have been reports of burglars removing entire safes from homes and businesses. The lesson here is, that given enough time and the right tools, virtually any safe can be compromised. Even something as heavy and reinforced as a vault can be opened. There is a reason that banks install burglar alarms. The alarm detects intrusions and does not allow burglars time to penetrate vaults.
