Mother's Day Melt Away Cookies
1 cup butter room temperature
1/3 cup confectioners sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
Form into 1-inch balls, use flour to handle. Makes 36 cookies
Refrigerate for 1 hour
Indent thumbprint
Bake 350 degrees
15-17 minutes
Frosting: 2 tlblesp. melted butter1 cup confectioners sugar
1 tablespoon almond extract
2 teaspoon half & half
1 drop of red food coloring (to make a pale pink frosting)
Cream & ice each cookie
