DIG's  Winter 2009 Newsletter

  Feasible Economic Solutions

a call to action from DIG's Co-Founder & Director Sarah Koch

Like so many non-profits operating during these difficult economic times, DIG is finding it harder and harder to keep our hands in the dirt.  Everywhere grant funding is being cut and people are struggling to support charitable organizations as they once did.

It is my hope that as you read this newsletter and consider where you will give your hard-earned dollars this year, you will be encouraged to continue investing in DIG.

Creating feasible economic solutions for our constituents is part of DIG's core values, and that extends into how we operate as an organization. We want you to know that every dollar you give is stretched and maximized, and put to use in communities where it grows and multiplies.

When you give $100 to DIG you are changing someones life forever.  You are feeding a family, empowering a woman to see herself in a new way, teaching a child valuable life skills, creating a sustainable nutrition program for a hospital, helping a father heal and return to work, strengthening a community, and investing in sustainable change.

I want to challenge you to remember DIG in any way you can this year.  No donation is too small to make a big difference.  One random act of kindness can change the world.  We sincerely thank you for making this organization possible!
