Mocean Dance tours Ontario

Spring is in the air and Mocean Dance is spending a few weeks on the road! The company has just returned from completing an Ontario tour, with residency and performances in Oakville and St. Catharines. The performances included choregraphy by Lisa Phinney, Cory Bowles and Roger Sinha, all of which were met with great audience response.

Mocean is Celebrating Dance with 10 Nova Scotia Schools

Nova Scotia Dance Week is just around the corner and Mocean Dance is celebrating by bringing dance into schools across the region. During the last two weeks of April, the company will conduct a ten-school intensive residency with the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board that includes eight school performances and more than thirty different workshops for elementary, junior high and high school students.

The Residency will culminate in a full-evening school performance at Horton High (75 Greenwich Road South, Wolfville) on Friday, April 30th, 7:00pm. Tickets are by donation and all proceeds will go to support the school's Safe Grad events. Come out and celebrate Dance Week by showing your support for this great event!

Spring is a time ripe with potential, with new life budding all around us. Mocean is working to realize that potential in communities across the Maritimes with engaging workshops and inspiring performances. Since the company's inception, Mocean has worked with thousands of students teachers and community members. We have brought dance to life in classrooms, gymnasiums, in studios and on the stage. We have made outreach and educational activities a priority in all that we do, but we cannot continue to do this important work without your help.
