Mocean Dance is back in the swing of things and has another exciting season planned! In September, the dancers will begin a three week creation with Toronto-based choreographer, Sharon Moore, which will premiere in the company's Home Season Mainstage Production from March 18-20, 2010. Be sure to mark it in your calendars!

Mocean's eighth season will also take them to theatres in Antigonish, Saint John, Summerside, and Oakville and St. Catharine's Ontario, as well as ten schools across Nova Scotia.

We're thrilled to welcome back Quebec native, Tania Jean, for her second season with the company.

Halifax's 2nd annual Nocturne Festival is an event not to be missed! On October 17th, Mocean and Halifax Dance will host an evening of exciting in-studio contemporary dance with performances by Mocean Dance, Verve Mwendo, Kym Butler and Halifax Dance’s YOung COmpany in Studio Revolved. The public will travel from studio to studio to see original dance works performed in an up-close and intimate setting. Performances will begin on the hour.
Performance times: 7pm, 8pm, 9pm

Mark it in your calendars! Mocean Dance will host their fifth annual fundraising gala, Quicksilver on November 14th, 2009. The evening will include performances by the company, an enticing silent auction, light fare, great music and special guests. This year's theme is silver, so it's sure to be a sterling celebration. It's an event not to be missed, so reserve your tickets early!
