Register Online This year, for the first time, Conestoga offers the ability to register online and pay by credit card. Be sure to sign up early if you want to purchase a Golden Ticket. There are only 80 available. Save the Date! Be sure to mark your calendar for April 24- 26, 2009, when we'll welcome Robin Hobb to Conestoga 13 -- and move our date up earlier in the year. See, we listened when you told us it was too darn hot! |
Conestoga 2008 went into hibernation most of December. You see, Tulsa got slapped by Jack Frost. Hard. Most of the Con Committee were without power starting on December 9th. A lot of us went a week in the dark. Some even longer. The good news is...the following house is not owned by a member of the Committee.
The bad news is that we didn't get much done this month besides our annual Christmas party. Visit the Conestoga website for more cool pictures of the ice storm by our resident Cleric, the Reverend and Dr. Omed.
Queen's Gambit is an Oklahoma-based Celtic band specializing in Irish and Scottish traditional music, with a side order of English Folk, dance, and Renaissance music. They also like FireFly, which is even better! Order your Golden Tickets Today!- Fangs, Fur & Fey Con within a Con Conestoga is once again happy to sponsor a "Con within a Con." This year we are proud to host the online community Fangs, Fur & Fey. FF&F is home to the Urban Fantasy, Contemporary Fantasy and Paranormal Romance Author Community. From were beasts & vampires to super-heroines with dilemmas in love, the FF&F bunch are highly productive authors with great advice on breaking into and promoting yourself in this booming market. There will be a dedicated track of programming meant to entice Urban Fantasy fans, wannabes and pros alike. Agent Rachel Vatter is scheduled to join two of her New York Times best selling authors, Melissa Marr and Jeaniene Frost, and a dozen or more Fangs, Fur & Fey authors. We can hardly wait!
