July Postcards from Alba Restaurant and Wine Bar If you haven't had a chance to have dinner on our patio this summer, you owe yourself a visit soon.
Sitting under the stars, hearing the delightful gurgling of the fountain, enjoying Alex's wonderful food with a great bottle of wine, you can well imagine yourself somewhere far away.
We've added cushions to make the patio chairs more comfortable, and the flowers (thanks to the lovely and talented Sabra Dunham) are more beautiful than ever.
We're having two great special dinners this month, and we have new menu items, wines, and cocktails for you to try.

Big Night Dinner July 7 "In love and life, one big night can change everything."
Join us for an evening of great food, wine, cinema, and music as we celebrate the 1996 film “Big Night.” This is one of the best foodie movies ever, a funny and moving story of two Italian brothers trying to make it in the restaurant business in 1950s New Jersey. It stars Stanley Tucci, Tony Shaloub, Isabella Rossellini, and Minnie Driver.
We also have a great affinity for this film because we have our own pair of brothers, Alex and Matthew, who provide real-life "big nights" for our guests at Alba.
We'll begin the evening at 6 with cocktails in the bar (not included in the price of the dinner). We sit down for dinner at 6:30, and begin screening the film at 6:45.
We’ve selected five of the best dishes from chef Primo’s multi-course menu (including the infamous Timpano), along with a perfect wine pairing to complement each course.

Relatively undiscovered by tourists, Le Marche offers a wide and splendid array of landscapes, art and architecture, wines, and gastronomic delights. From the bountiful Adriatic to its forested hills to the craggy Appenines, Le Marche is a feast for all the senses.
This dinner features four classic regional dishes, with wines from esteemed winemaker Stefano Antonucci's Santa Barbara Winery, located in the Marche town of Barbara.

Enjoy the flavors of our herb and vegetable garden We've quadrupled the size of our garden this summer, adding many vegetables and new herbs to what we grew last year.
To complement the wonderful produce we get from our friends at Isabelle Farms, we're growing borage, nettles, tomatoes, beans, peppers, lentils, melons, lavender, peas, rhubarb, spinach, strawberries, peppermint, spearmint, parsley, basil, sage, thyme, and rosemary.
You'll see all of these items on our menu this summer, as well as on our cocktail list, which Matthew has recently updated with some delicious and refreshing herb-infused creations.
