June Wine Dinner "An Evening in Piemonte" June 24, 2009
Piemonte, which translates as “the land at the foot of the mountains,” has a cuisine which, while highly refined, is deeply rooted in a tradition of simple, wholesome cooking. Piemontese wines, particularly the reds made from nebbiolo and barbera, are world-renowned. Tonight’s first three wines come from famed producer Matteo Correggia, whose winery is located in Canale, 14 km north of Alba. His wines are delicious and pair extremely well with the dishes we’re preparing. For an optional surcharge, we’re also offering a Barbaresco and Barolo from two outstanding wine estates.

Alex's Adventures in Piemonte
Chef Alex Feldman just returned from a two week trip to Piemonte with his brother Matthew and their parents. He stayed in Monforte d'Alba and spent time with Chef Nino Rocca in the kitchen at Da Felicin, one of the Langhe's great restaurants. He had a great time and learned a lot about classic and modern Piemontese cooking, which he's already brought to Alba.

Summertime at Chautauqua
There's no better time to visit Chautauqua than right now. The Summer Concert Series has begun, and the Colorado Music Festival opens their summer season very soon.
The Dining Hall is in full swing, open for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner seven days a week.
We have a new chef, former Alba sous chef Andy Ribelin. Andy brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and experience to the Dining Hall. His cooking is classical and straightforward, and we think the Dining Hall's food has never been better.
Bob Howd, whom many of you know from the Full Moon and Alba, is still our General Manager, and he and his staff are anxiously awaiting your visit.
