It is with great pleasure that we extend
to you this special invitation to join ICLEI –
Local Governments for Sustainability for our Municipal Climate Adaptation Workshop on May 30th,
2008 at Northeastern University’s Egen Center in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Municipal Adaptation Workshop will convene key local government stakeholders from around the Northeast to discuss the impacts of and opportunities to enhance resiliency to a changing climate. Highlights of the Workshop include:
- Up-to-date forecasted regional climate impacts;
- Training on conducting a community vulnerability assessment;
- Hands-on adaptation action prioritization exercise;
- Break-out sessions on planning for public health, coastal, and ecological impacts;
- Assessment of the financial implications of inaction; and
- Exclusive peer networking forum on local climate protection best practices.
The Workshop is free for ICLEI members, local government representatives, and State representatives. All others will be charged a $100 registration fee. Space for the Workshop is limited and preference will be given to local and state government representatives. To register for the Workshop, please click here.
