SUMMER is the perfect time to Gather QI Mount Shasta is the perfect pristine area to spend time in nature to gather Qi from the trees, the earth and the boundless sky. I will be taking a small group of interested students to various power spots in the Mount Shasta area for short 2 hour trainings in Qi Gong essentials. Learn some of the Five Animal Play, North Star Five Element Qi Gong and Dragon Qi Gong. All practice enhances the flow of qi in the meridians and can be specific for organ rejuvenation. No previous experience is necessary. The exercises are easy to perform and full written handouts will be provided.

A low cost pain clinic is now available for musculo-skeletal and joint pain and trauma treatments. This will give an opportunity for everyone to be able come for acupuncture therapy and not be stressed so much over the costs. Clinic hours will be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3pm. Patients will receive a very brief evaluation and needles will be inserted. Please wear loose clothing to facilitate needle insertion without the removal of clothes. Sessions are 30 minutes and with a purchase of 4 sessions save $20.

Q: Can acupuncture help a knee injury if ligaments and cartilage are involved?
A: Acupuncture can certainly help open the channels and increase blood and Qi (life force, vital energy) to the injury area. However, it might be necessary for removal of debris from tears and chips that would require surgery. Keeping the area open and flowing with needles before and after the surgery will facilitate faster healing.
