It has been said that the best way to predict the future is to create it. I believe that together we can do that for Austin.

That's why On Monday, February 11, the first day of candidate filing, I made official my campaign for Austin City Council Place 4. My message is clear: I don't want to wait even a single day to begin making the case for a new and better future for our city.

Our campaign has just begun, and already we have won the backing of the Austin Police Association, the Austin Firefighters Association, and the Austin/Travis County Emergency Medical Services Employees Association in an unprecedented joint endorsement. We have also earned the endorsements of over 100 neighborhood, environmental, business, and civic leaders throughout the community. We're now building on our early support to create a comprehensive campaign from east to west and from north to south, so that together, we can build the safest, greenest, and most productive city in the nation, right here in Austin, Texas.
