January Insight: Surge in Smartphones and Tablet PCs in Ireland for 2012.

Based on our recent Consumer Decisions Omnibus we asked consumers about purchasing trends on a range of products. Most notable is the high level of planned purchase intent of Tablet PCs led by the Apple iPad with 28% of Consumers planning to purchase.  Smartphones also remain popular with 33% of consumers plannng to purchase one in 2012. See Chart below.
