Greetings from sunny Florida! Over the years I have wanted to send out a newsletter but life and other adventures kept getting in the way. I have finally gotten through some of the debris and am anxious to get my newsletter out to everyone. I am a people person and love interacting with my students and Internet buddies so a newsletter appears to be the perfect format to share thread related information and maybe a story or two. Okay, here is the way things shape up.
What's New?
Website Remodeling - My website is a bit dated and in order to offer some new products and services, it needs a bit of remodeling, okay, overhauling. My "old" website will stay online until the new one is ready for action.
The new site will be easier to navigate and have an updated image - sort of like a modern day face lift. The plan is for the new website to be operational by mid September. And what is the motive behind this madness? In order to offer you my On Demand Video Workshops below I need to dress up the website a bit.
On Demand Video Workshops - So what exactly is an On Demand Video Workshop? Basically the On Demand part enables you to take a workshop at your convenience whenever you want. No more waiting on a specified workshop date to begin. You can start as soon as you register. How great is that?
You will be given a password that allows you to go back to the site as many times as you want within a 3 month period. Should you need to start over, check on a detail or need a refresher, it's as easy as typing in your password and off you go.
Not being a computer "techie" myself, I am trying to make the online workshops as user friendly as possible. What that relates to is as few buttons to push as necessary to get you where you need to go. My plan is to have the workshops on line in mid October or sooner. I realize I don't have a specific workshop with prices listed yet, but if you think you might be interested in taking an online workshop, please email me at Nancy@nancyprince.com. I will email you as soon as the first workshop is available.
Embroidered Landscapes -I am proud to announce my first venture into the world of machine embroidery. Through the years as I have taught my thread painted workshops, I have had students indicate that they would like to "thread paint" my designs on their embroidery machine. So with that in mind I set out to see what I could do.
The designs in my Embroidered Landscapeshave been digitized to look like my thread painted designs. The three kits completed so far not only include the digitized designs and all the information to complete the project, but they also include custom printed background and accessory fabric. Click on any of the kits in the side bar to see what is included in each kit.
What's in the Works?
Shh- it's a secret! I am working on a new line of thread related workshops that I think will be very exciting, easy and from my perspective way too much fun.
I am also working on a new approach to embroidery designs which I think will be totally different from most designs on the market right now. I can't wait to share them with you, but I am going to need some help from you to get them to market. In upcoming newsletters I will be looking for beta testers to help me get them ready for market. So check the What's New? section of my newsletter in upcoming issue for details. This way I can share the secret with you first.
What's in Upcoming Issues?
Watch upcoming newsletters for promotion codes that will allow you to purchase items on my website at a sale price. And in future newsletters I will have a Tips section where I will share some thread related information with you. Plus a story or two here and there could just be in the works.
I Leave You with This...
Being a senior citizen, I am always getting jokes of mostly no redeeming value. However, I find this one interesting for those of us out there that are slightly "over the hill"--
I very quietly confided to my friend that I was having an affair. She turned to me and asked, "Are you having it catered?"
And that, my friend is the definition of OLD.
Til the next newsletter. Happy Thread Painting!
