Thanks to all of you who responded so positively to my Newsletter a few weeks ago. And many of you emailed me your interest in an online workshop even though I didn't say what type of workshop I would be teaching. So to clarify that point - all the workshops will be thread painting and ? workshops. Okay, so what is with the ?? These are my new workshops that are still incognito. Many of you were interested in embroidery workshops as well, but at least for the immediate future I have no plans to offer embroidery workshops. Hopefully for the time being Embroidered Landscapes will satisfy your passion. What's in the Works? New Website - I am glad to announce that work is progressing nicely on the new website even though I have keyboard cramp from all the changes. It is a total pain right now ironing out all the details, but it will definitely be worth the effort when it is finished. Free On Demand Video Workshop- In an upcoming Newsletter watch for an invitation to engage in my first FREE online workshop. Now I feel certain that the first workshop will have a few "bugs" in it that will need to be exterminated. That's where you come in. I would appreciate your comments and suggestions on how to improve anything that you see and hear. Basically, you will be my personal little beta testers. So watch for further details. What's in Upcoming Issues? Techie Tom- Well, my husband Tom thinks I am getting a little too much attention lately (well, okay, maybe a lot) and being the loving wife I am the "Techie Tom" section will be announced shortly. Now this doesn't mean the generally Home Improvement manly stuff like football, fishing, Nascar, etc., but something I think those of us of a "certain age" can greatly benefit from. Computers - you can't live with them and you can't live without them! I am normally a train wreck when it comes to computers and their functionality, but Tom patiently shows me over and over again how to navigate from place to place. Just so you know - computers just happen to be his business so he has a lot to say. So to help, he will be offering simple tips in terms you can understand and suggestions on how you can easily get around on the computer and the Internet. The word here is Simple and in terminology you can actually understand. How cool is that? This will be our little version of Computers for Quilters - we are not Dummies - it's just that no one has taken the time to explain how things work. So stay tuned! I Leave You with This... Computerization is everywhere today and our sewing machines are no exception. How many of you have been sewing happily along and for no apparent reason your machine goes south - skipped stitches, bobbin issues, etc.? The fix may be just as simple as rebooting your sewing machine. So before you think service, try rebooting. Til the next Newsletter. Happy Thread Painting!!! |
