Hello Mystery Readers
White Tombs is now available on Kindle just in time for the release of the new sleeker Kindle 2, which holds 1500 books. It seems more people are choosing to read books electronically. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues. The publishing industry is facing some tough economic times as are most industries. While the price of a Kindle 2 is $359.00, a considerable expense, downloads of books are relatively inexpensive. The Kindle version of White Tombs sells for only $7.19 on Amazon.
I'm very happy to report that White Tombs has been chosen by Reader Views as one of five finalists in the category of best mystery/suspense/thriller of 2008. Reader Views is located in Austin, Texas and reviews lots of books in many different categories. Winners will be announced soon.
I have a couple events scheduled for this month. I will be signing copies of White Tombs at the Bloomington Writer's Festival on March 21st and at the annual "Write of Spring" at the Once Upon A Crime bookstore in Minneapolis on March 28th. This is always a well attended event that features many of the mystery writers in the Twin Cities. More information is available on my website.
Also, if you're looking for a signed copy of White Tombs and are unable to make it to either event, you can order a signed copy from Once Upon A Crime. Please check my website for more details.
The second John Santana novel entitled, "The Black Minute" is still scheduled for release this fall. As soon as I have a firm date, I will let all of you know.
2008 was a busy year and I'm hoping the same is true of 2009. I've met so many wonderful people through book clubs and book events. It's really been a great pleasure meeting you and receiving your e-mails. I look forward to seeing many of you again in the near future as well as meeting many new readers this year when "The Black Minute" is released. Thank you again for your kind words and support.
