We are pleased to announce the 29th Annual Meeting of the Paediatric Infectious Diseases (ESPID) will be held in The Hague in June 2011.
ESPID 2011 will feature a high-quality scientific program, exploring the latest information on epidemiology, diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and clinical presentation of important paediatric diseases.

E-Poster Presentations |
High quality posters will be selected by the international scientific committee for presentation in a designated E-Poster Presentation Session.
Sessions will take place as stated in the preliminary program on Thursday and Friday around lunch time.

Walter Marget Educational Workshop |
The ESPID Education Committee will select twenty trainees to attend the prestigious Walter Marget Educational Workshop.
Applicants for this workshop must be ESPID members and trainees in paediatric infectious diseases. The final 20 selected participants will be given free registration to this workshop.

Meet The Experts |
ESPID 2011 will also feature Meet the Expert Workshops on Thursday, June 9, 2010 and Friday, June 10, 2010.
Participation for these sessions is included in the registration fee, however pre-registration
is mandatory and
must be done on-site at the registration desk.

Interactive Case Sessions |
Discuss
the diagnosis and therapy of
paediatric
infectious diseases
with internationally
renowned experts!
The EPSID 2011 Interactive
Case Sessions will feature a
panel of
five
paediatric infectious
disease consultants.
Two internationally
recognised experts will
chair the sessions, prepare
case studies of unusual
diseases and challenge the
panel
to
provide their insights on
diagnosis and therapy.
All members of the audience
will be invited to
participate in the
discussions.
The sessions will be held on
Thursday, June 9, and
Friday, June 10, from 14:00
to 15:00.

About the ESPID Society |
The European Society for Paediatric Infectious Diseases, ESPID, 
forms the basis for European investigators interested in infectious diseases in children and infection prevention in childhood. The society is engaged in a number of activities including the organization of multicentre trials, international exchange of infectious disease fellows and an annual conference.
