Submitting GNU Affero GPLv3 to OSI for approval The GNU Affero GPLv3 is the license developed by FSF that allows for fair business when software is used as a service, over the networks. It made perfect sense for Funambol to use it and in fact, Funambol was one of the very first Free/Libre Open Source Software (FLOSS) projects to adopt it. Now Funambol has submitted the license to OSI to have it formally approved as Open Source. |
Funambol Community Showcase #2: Yahoo Plug-in This month's showcase focuses on the development of Yahoo Plug-in, the tool that allows syncing contacts between Funambol and Yahoo. It was developed as a Code Sniper project by our community member Paulo Fernandes. Read how he managed to get access to the contacts data stored in Yahoo accounts. |
