VSA Vermont uses the magic of the arts to engage the capabilities and enhance the confidence of children and adults with disabilities.

A purple banner with white text reads “Happy New Year!” followed by the VSA Vermont logo. The banner runs across a grid of six images, top left clockwise: A group of student visitors at the FLOURISH exhibition; two hands exploring a tactile representation art piece; a table covered with art supplies at a professional development training; two sets of arms reaching in, painting a box together; three teaching artists engaged in conversation white seated at a training, and a young boy making artwork in the Arts to Smarts program.
Happy New Year, from the staff and Board of Directors at VSA Vermont!

If we haven't met yet, hello! My name is Katie Miller, and I'm the new Executive Director of VSA Vermont. I have been with VSA Vermont for almost three years, and I couldn't be more excited to continue to serve the organization our mission in this new role.

As I think back at the past year, I'm filled with joy and pride. VSA Vermont programs engaged thousands of Vermonters with and without disabilities. Together, we continued to use the arts to make Vermont more inclusive for people with disabilities. The FLOURISH exhibition showcased the work of 36 artists with disabilities to thousands of visitors. Teaching artists, educators, and arts professionals around the state engaged with our mission of inclusion and access through professional development workshops. Many more engaged their confidence and capabilities through our arts education programs. You can learn more about the year's highlights in the 2018 Impact Report.
2019 will bring even more excitement to VSA Vermont. We are finishing up a strategic plan that will guide the work of the organization for the next three years. I look forward to sharing that and more exciting news from VSA Vermont over the next month.

Thank you, as always, for your support and dedication to inclusion through the arts.

Best wishes for a joyous 2019,
Katie Miller Signature
