Some Handy and Not so Handy Hints
- When drilling into surfaces such as bathroom or kitchen tiles, the point of the drill can often slip. To help stop this happening, place a piece of sellotape or masking tape over the drill mark
- If you have alcohol or water marks on wooden furniture, you can remove by mixing white vinegar with olive oil in equal proportions. Use a cloth to wipe into the wood, do along the grain, polishing to finish off.
- A mouse trap sat on the top of your alarm clock will prevent you from pressing the snooze button and falling back to sleep!
- Don’t waste money buying binoculars, simply stand next to the object you wish to look at!
- Cut flowers will keep longer if they are kept in water containing a solution of one teaspoon of vinegar and one teaspoon of sugar made up with 570ml of hot water.
- Always poo at work. Not only will you save money on toilet paper, but you’ll be getting paid for it too!
- Have ants? Wipe down the effected area with a solution of half vinegar and half water to keep ants at bay.

Clean Windows, mirrors & glass by adding 2 tablespoons of vinegar to the warm water. Buff with a clean dry cloth to finish off.

Got smelly drains? Boil 200ml (8floz) of vinegar and pour directly into the drain. Leave for ten minutes before using the drain.
