Customized Training for Non-Profit Organizations:

Training Funds Available for Your Workforce

The Workforce Investment Board of Monroe County/Rochester has made available Federal grant funds to small and medium sized, non-profit or human service organizations in Monroe County to address employer demands for skilled workers and upgrade the skills of their employees earning between $8.00 and $25.00 per hour.  An Alternative To Layoffs - Shared Work Program 

Shared Work is a voluntary program that provides employers facing a temporary decline in business with an alternative to layoffs. Under this program, instead of cutting staff, you can reduce the number of hours of all workers, or just a select group. Under an approved plan, employees may collect partial Unemployment Insurance (UI) benefits for up to 20 weeks. The RochesterWorks Virtual Job Fair:

The RochesterWorks! Virtual Job Fair (VJF) opens November 17th and runs through November 23rd at www.rochesterworks.org. This is a cost-effective way for businesses to reach people who are not able to attend a traditional job fair. There is no charge to job seekers.
