New Blogging Adventure
I am excited to announce that I recently began blogging (writing) for another organizing website called OnlineOrganizing.com. My focus for this blog has to do with my passion of teaching children organizational and time-management skills. The blog is geared towards parents with children ages 5 - 15 looking to educate and assist their children with organizing challenges at home and in school. I will be posting entries on a monthly basis. You can visit the blog by clicking this link Child + Organized = Academic Success.
The need for children to develop organizational and time-management skills increases year after year. With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, increased amounts of material possessions and homework, and the many after school sports and activities, children are in dyer need of structure, systems, and a sense of order. Organization is a prerequisite for academic success as well as for having a less chaotic life.
If you or someone you know would like to discover simple and effective ideas on how to get your child organized and assist with the development of these fundamental skills, make sure to bookmark Child + Organized = Academic Success! One can also find additional information and ideas for organizing a home, office, vehicle, and children at my weblog Your Efficiency Specialist's Weblog.

Great New Organizing Product!
The Corky Wall Organizer is a new organizing product from KangaRoom Storage. It retails for 29.99 and comes in green, navy, and pink. As you can see, it holds photos, notes, keys, glasses, cell phone, and pens. This would be a great item to have near the entry door, inside a bedroom closet, or hanging inside a cubicle.
Here is a picture of a young girl's closet found in RealSimple's Family Fall 2008 issue. There are two Corky Wall Organizers being used on the inside of the door.
I sure love the look and feel of an organized closet! It makes me smile :)
**Next month we will continue with our organizing challenge. I apologize if you are living with piles of clothes, cosmetics, kitchen items, or toys that you have decided to keep after the purging process. I suggest setting them aside in a box. During the next month, if you need an item from the box, use it. If you don't, consider letting it go. The next step is to SORT. I will discuss this in more detail in November.

Simplifying Your Finances
Since May 2008 I have not watched television, read a newspaper, or listened to the news. However, I do stay up to date via Yahoo and word-of-mouth. It seems the country is a bit stressed over the current state of the economy. I personally live a simple life and find that less is more. When you live a simplified life you have less clutter and less stress which allows you to enjoy the 'simple' things in life (i.e. true love, the sound of a child's laughter, reading a good book, spending time with loved ones). Obviously, the 'simple' things don't pay the bills. However, if you eliminate debt, limit your spending, and take a good look at your necessities vs. your luxuries, you will be able to pay the bills and enjoy life!
I suggested simplifying your finances to obtain financial security and freedom. Instead of re-inventing the wheel, I will let Peter Walsh, a fellow organizing expert, share with you 8 steps one can take to declutter their finances. Click here to access Peter's 8 steps to decluttering finances on Oprah and Friends.
Best of luck,
