Why Should You Simplify Your Life?
Well, If you are one that enjoys the feelings of being suffocated, overwhelmed, stressed out, and often tripping over your stuff, then there is no need to simplify! However, most people don't want to live that way but find that they don't know where to start or what to do with all the stuff.
With the current economic crisis and many Americans losing their jobs, we don't have much of a choice other than to simplify. We must simplify in order to survive. That may mean cutting back on wasteful spending, turning down the thermostat, wearing the clothes that still have their tag on, letting go of clothing that you have been holding onto for years, or saying 'no' to the request of someone else when your plate is already full. Simplifying may take on a slight variation in meaning for each person. What does 'simplifying your life' mean to you?
I believe a simplified life is being in balance and control of your finances, possessions, and schedule. So many Americans are off balance. They are spending more than what they bring in and saying 'yes' to more than what they have time for.
This week Oprah had a guest on her show, Mary Carlomagno. Mary does what I do and that is to help folks simplify their life. Check out this clip on Mary discussing how she began to simplify her own life. I love what she said, "Only love the things that can love you back".
What can you do today that will help you in simplifying your life?

Grace, Do You Make Your Bed Each Day?
Each morning I have a routine. Part of my routine is making beds. There is something about having the beds made that makes me feel ‘pulled together’, ‘neat and tidy’, and ready for a successful day. There is the rare occasion when I don’t make the beds and find that I feel less ‘in order’ on those days. It is amazing how the simple act of making beds has an affect on me. I know millions may not relate with me and wonder why bother making something that will get messy again 12 hours later.
I am curious to know…do you make your bed each morning? Does making your bed affect your mood, behavior or productivity for the day? Take the poll
