At Backlist eBooks, we strongly support variety in the marketplace; we want readers to have as many choices as possible.
Distribution challenges may mean that not every book or every author is available through every retailer, but we do our best to make the links easy to find and use. Kobo, Nook, iTunes, Smashwords, Kindle, Book View Cafe, All Romance eBooks, Diesel...they're all represented in the primary retailer links on our book pages. Other retailers may be linked in the book description.
So however you read your fiction, you can find some of it here!

I've been ebooking my backlist for almost two years—and I'm not quite finished yet! I initially expected the whole process to take a year (or less), start to finish. But as a friend of mine says, "Things always take longer than they take." And, like most writers, I'm ebooking my backlist (20-25 books) while writing new novels, so my backlist often gets sidelined in favor of finishing new material.
I've been doing this via a DIY process: I proofread and line-edit my old manuscripts, create my own book covers, format and convert the files into ebooks, write the sale-page copy, and upload the ebooks to various vendors.
I started epublishing this way to control my costs, since I had no idea how much or how little income my backlist might generate. And I've continued with a DIY process for the same reasons I now run my own career rather than working with a literary agent: I find it simpler, more efficient, and less frustrating to learn to do something myself than to spend a lot of time repeatedly explaining to someone else what I want and then not getting it.
But that's me.
There are other Backlist eBooks authors who commission talented designers to create excellent book covers, hire professional freelances to proofread and format their books, and/or use efficient and effective services to manage their uploads and sales.
It all depends on each author's individual preferences for running her (or his) business. One of the great pleasures and benefits of the ebook revolution is that those of us who hold the publishing rights to our backlists can each choose exactly what best suits us—and our work—in our epublishing process.
