Alumni Corporation breaks fundraising records...raises highest-ever total of $5,500 in 2007 from record number of Brothers

Thank you -- and congratulations...big clicks go out to all of you... We are pleased to announce the record-breaking results of the Alumni Corporation's 2007 Annual Membership Dues Campaign.

First of all, thank you all for your continued support of the Alpha Sigma Delta of Chi Psi Alumni Corporation -- whether your contributions are through financial means (i.e., your Annual Membership Dues and additional contributions), or through volunteering to help the Alpha with recruitment events, helping with career advice, serving on the Corporation Board, helping to plan the Chi Psi Fraternity Annual Convention we will be hosting at Duke in August 2009, or other ways...we thank you.

Through your generous dues contributions and additional donations, the Alumni Corporation achieved the following results for the 2007 Dues Campaign in a record-breaking few short months:

  • Raised highest-ever total of $5,500, breaking the previous record of $3,960 set in 2004
  • Total of $5,500 represents growth of over 60% year-over-year from $3,435 in 2006
  • A record-breaking number of alumni Brothers contributed (70 Brothers), representing a 32% increase over the previous record set in 2004 (53 Brothers), and an 84% year-over-year increase over 2006 (when 38 Brothers donated)
  • The number of 1st time donors increased over 200% year-over-year
  • Approximately 75% of total contributions came through PayPal on www.chipsiduke.com (compared to only 23% in 2006 and 42% in 2005)

Each year, your membership dues and contributions go towards such items as providing scholarships to the Alpha (Steven Dale Ritchie Leadership Award, Dr. Dale Randall Scholarship Award, Outstanding Pledge Scholarships), hosting Homecoming and Alumni Reunion Weekend activities such as events at Satisfactions and the BBQ at The Lodge, supporting the Alpha's recruitment efforts, and improving communications through www.chipsiduke.com, Annual Reports, newsletters, The Lodge Letter, and other activities.

With your continued support, we're looking forward to surpassing our 2007 achievements this year in 2008...We hope you will continue to support the Corporation's fundraising goals when we kick-off the 2008 campaign later this year...

Thank you to our 2007 Dues Campaign contributors...
