Dear Friends,

As we enter spring, there is a lot happening at Africa Aid.  We are continuing to develop our MDNet program, which provides free mobile phone networks for doctors in Africa.  We have also secured a new grant for our SEAM program that will give new microloans to women in Africa.  Africa Aid is also excited to announce that while we continue to have volunteers all over the country, we have moved our headquarters to a new office:

602 20th Street
San Francisco, CA 94107

Africa Aid could not help as many people as we do without the kindness of friends and donors like you.  Thank you so much for your continued support and have a wonderful spring.

All the best,

Eric Woods
Executive Director and Founder
Africa Aid

MDNet Expands to Include Doctor Directories

Africa Aid is expanding the MDNet program with its upcoming release of a Doctor Directory for MDNet Ghana.  In addition to MDNet’s current free doctor-to-doctor cell phone network, Africa Aid will provide printed directories to all MDNet doctors, ministries of health, and nationwide medical associations. The directories will enable doctors to easily contact one another and provide healthcare workers with a means of easily identifying and contacting doctors based on name, location, or medical specialty.  Africa Aid is excited for the pending release of the doctor directory, as it is one of the most requested additions for the MDNet program. More than 95% of doctors in Ghana are currently connected through MDNet.
