The Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) announces the release of Request for Proposals (RFP) for 2011-2012 funding.

The County, through DCD, is soliciting proposals for activities that will utilize federal entitlement funding, as well as the County’s Housing Trust Program funding and Federal Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) funding for affordable housing, community and economic development, homeless assistance, and other public services to be carried out during the two year period 2011-2012.

As of Friday, May 14, 2010, RFPs will be available in an electronic format through DCD’s website. Additional information with regard to submitting the electronic application will also be available on the website.

Completed applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, 2010.

Chester County is an entitlement jurisdiction that receives federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME), and Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Two Application Workshops will be held:

Wednesday, May 19, 2010 from 10am to 12pm - Government Services Center, Suite 170 

Monday, June 14, 2010 from 2pm to 4pm - Government Services Center, Suite 171
