Project Enhances West Chester Shelter Services

The Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) has provided $900,000 in state and federal funding for a building expansion project that was recently completed at Safe Harbor of Greater West Chester.

The building expansion will provide capacity for 20 single homeless women (up from 4 previously) and 20 single homeless men.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Safe Harbor to commemorate the project on Saturday, March 13, 2010.
