On Thursday, April 8, 2010, the Smart Energy Initiative regional Industry Partnership is holding a seminar to provide municipal leaders with steps they can take to protect their com munities from rising energy costs.
Basic strategies related to Rate Cap Expiration, PA Act 129, energy efficiency, and renewable energy will be covered.
Goals of the breakfast briefing are to:
- Provide municipal leaders with the knowledge they need to reduce future energy costs for their communities;
- Increase awareness of the terminology and supplier base, for help with where to turn;
- Share knowledge of impending legislation and how it will impact future energy costs, and;
- Help leaders begin to develop a tailored energy action plan.
