DCD Sets Goals to Align with County Commissioners Strategic Planning Initiative

Chester County has undergone major growth and rapid change over the last decade.  This growth led to a decision by the Commissioners to review the government's priorities for the future and develop a County Strategic Plan which includes a goal to increase accountability, transparency and performance in Chester County government.

Why is DCD's Strategic Business Plan Important?

While DCD has adopted strategies and goals with regard to housing, community, workforce and economic development initiatives, the DCD Strategic Business Plan:

• ensures that employees are working towards the same goals
• enables the County Commissioners to effectively manage its resources, and
• provides a consistent focus for decision-making and performance of the Chester County Department of Community Development.
