The National Community Reinvestment Coalition's (NCRC) National Neighbors Program, in partnership with the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), is presenting a two-hour training session coordinated through the Chester County Department of Community Development.

In the Fair Lending session, participants will learn how to recognize and avoid predatory lending.  Participants will also be exposed to the protections that are available under the Fair Housing Act, along with fair housing resources available to local consumers and advocates.

A main feature of this training will be on Foreclosure Prevention.  The presentation will include an overview of the foreclosure crisis and how to assist people facing foreclosure through post mortgage counseling, legal services, loss mitigation, and consumer rescue funds such as the National Homeownership Sustainability Fund.
