As the grantee of HUD's housing and community development entitlement funding, the Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) promises to affirmatively further fair housing through the support of fair housing services, and education about fair housing laws.
On April 15th, 2010 the Chester County Commissioners recognized DCD and the Fair Housing Council of Suburban Philadelphia for their efforts to raise community awareness and education about the Fair Housing Act by joining the US Department of Housing and Urban Development in this year's Fair Housing theme, "A Time to Act".
