County Commissioners Approve $5.4 Million for CRP

The Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) has received approval from the Chester County Commissioners to allocate Community Revitalization Program (CRP) funds for activities recommended by DCD.

2009 CRP Project Summary

Chester County approved CRP funding to 11 Municipalities for projects which will address:

  • Streetscape improvements;
  • Water and sewer service improvements;
  • Bridge construction;
  • Storm drainage improvements;
  • Parking lot construction, and; 
  • Road reconstruction
CRP Funds Support Development and Redevelopment in Chester County's Urban Centers

The Community Revitalization Program provides funding for community improvement projects, which DCD judges will most effectively:

  • Improve the stability of the community;
  • Promote economic development;
  • Improve existing facilities;
  • Assist in business retention, stimulation and attraction;
  • Promote the creation of jobs and employment opportunities, and;
  • Enhance the health, welfare and quality of life for citizens in Chester County
