The Chester County Department of Community Development (DCD) would like to help spread the word about a program being administered through the Chester County Department of Human Services.

The federal Emergency Food and Shelter Program can provide eligible individuals with one month's utility bills and rent or mortgage costs.

Chester County residents who have become unemployed or had their work hours cut since October 2008 are especially encouraged to apply.
